  Statement of Intent  Media institutions often have power over advertising in the UK, advertising is regulated by both ASA (Advertising Standards Authority) and CAP (The Committee of Advertising Practice). Advertisements are regulated through these two companies, each advertisement must follow a set of rules, and all adverts are expected to be: legal, decent, honest and truthful. My posters will comply with these rules by showing images appropriate for all ages, and by advertising truthful information. This can link to media representation, the target audience for products don’t want to be portrayed in a negative way through the advertising of a product. The product and audience in my posters will be presented in a positive light, showing them to be active and energetic, and portraying this within all four of my final posters.   Media audience and language are also important in creating a successful advertising campaign.   My posters will appeal to my target a...

  Planning- The sports channel I am creating these advertisements for is called ‘Sportsworld’ a tv channel that is shows coverage of many different sports, including football, golf, and BMX.   Initial ideas- A poster showing a man with a golf club over his shoulder, as well as an image of the bag of clubs, hopefully can be taken at a driving range or golf course, with the title of the channel located at the top of the poster. With additional information at the bottom of the poster. A poster showing a man on his bike, wearing a helmet on a cycle lane or path.   Analyzing  Sport Channel Posters- Understanding sports channels posters is important for designing and creating your own posters. Many already existing posters fit a specific style or appeal to a specific audience, the channels target audience. The posters use images the target audience is familiar with, as each poster uses the same if not similar images on each. Poster 1- This poster is advertising the Formula 1 (F1) Final between Lewis Hamilton and Max Verstappen. This poster contains images of both F1 drivers, who at the time were tied before the final. They are positioned to the left-hand side of the poster, the text being on the right side. Both of their first names are depicted with the largest text font, as fans of F1 would recognise each racer by their first name and picture. The Sky Sports logo is present, and a tagline is also present at the bottom of the poster, reinforcing that you can only see it live once. This would appeal to fans of F1 as they recognise t...
